Notification for State Level "National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2015" for 10th Class Students of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States released. The National Talent Search Exam Scheme was started in 1963 by NCERT to Identify the talented students and nurture them. On the basis of the National Talent Search Examination, 1000 scholarships will be awarded. The NTSE Exam for 2015 will be conducted on 2nd Nov 2014

Details & Eligibility of State Level National Talent Search Exam N.T.S.E. 2014:
     State Level National Talent Search (1st level) Examination for class X will be conducted on 02-11-2014 (Sunday) from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM in Telugul/ Hindi/ Urdu and English media at all the Head quarters of all Districts in the State. The students who are studying X Class during the current academic year i .e.. 2014-2015 in any recognized school in Telangana state including Kendri ya Vidyalayas and schools affiliated to I.C.S.E. & C.B.S.E., New Delhi are only eligible to appear for the above said Examination. The students who have selected for NMMS scholarships and studying X class now may also eligible for NTS Examination but such candidates have to forego the further NMMS scholarships, if he/she are selected in NTS Examination.

Scheme and Pattern of National Talent Search Exam

  • The NTSE Exam will be conducted in Two stages:
  • The 1st Level NTSE State Level contains of  (i) Mental Ability Test (MAT) consisting of 50 compulsory questions for 50 marks.
    (ii) Language Comprehensive Test consisting of 40 compulsory questions for 40 marks. This test will be qualifying in nature and marks will not be added for deciding final merit list of the candidate.
    (iii) Aptitude Test consisting of 90 compulsory questions for 90 marks from eight subjects (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics).
  • Each question carries 1 (one) mark.
  • All questions in the booklets are objective type. For each question FOUR or FIVE possible answers are given but only one is correct. Your task is to find out the correct answer and mark your choice in the OMR Answer Sheet.
  • The 2nd Level Exam (Stage II examination) at the National level pattern will be intimated in the due course.

FEE DATES AND FEE PAYMENT FOR NTSE 2014 EXAMINATION

  • Last Date for Submission of Applications along with Fee in the Shape of Challan to Head Masters = 1st Sep 2014
  • Last Date of Submission of Applications to DEOs by School Authorities = 3rd Sep 2014
HOW TO PAY FEE:
  • The Examination Fee is Rs.100 per candidate
  • Attested Copy of Certificate in case of SC/ST/PH should be enclosed along with the application form.
  • The examination fee has to be paid in form of Challan to the following Head of Accounts: (DDs are not acceptable)

  • Note that Demand Drafts are not Acceptable

More Details  on NTSE Scholarship:

  1. From 2012, the National Talent Search Examination is conducted for 10th Class Studying Students Only.
  2. Scholarships: On the basis of the National Talent Search Examination, 1000 scholarships will be awarded. The amount of scholarship will be as under: 
  3. (a) Scholarship of Rs.l250/- per month for Class-XI to XII. 
  4. (b) Scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month for Undergraduates and Post-graduates. 
  5. (c) Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. be fixed in accordance with the UGC norms. 
  6. Reservation: 15% scholarships will be reserved for students belonging to the SC category, 7.5% scholarships for students belonging to the ST category and 3% for Physically Challenged Group of Students. 
  7. Selection: There will be two-stage selection process for award of scholarship. For Stage:­ I, selection will be done by States/UTs through a written examination. Students, who qualify Stage- I, will be eligible to appear for Stage-11 examination, conducted by NCERT.
