  • The attention of all Regional Joint Director of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the ref. 1st read above, wherein the Chief Electoral Officer & E.O. Principal Secretary to Govt.,A.P., has issued necessary instructions to the concerned District Collectors & District Electoral Officers for grant of Special Casual Leave on the Day of Poll ie., on 22-3-2019 to all Central and State Govt Employees, who are bonafide voters in the Elections to State Legislative Councils to enable them to exercise their right of franchise. The poll shall be held for the following four (4) constituencies:
  • 1. East - West Godavari Graduates 
  • 2. Krishna - Guntur Graduates 
  • 3. Srikakulam- Vizianagaram - Visakhapatnam Teachers 
  • 4. Visakhapatnam Local Authorities.
  1. In the ref. 2nd read above, Govt have authorized the Collectors & District Magistrates of above said districts to declare a local holiday, if necessary, on the day before poll (21.03-2019), on the day of (22-03-2019), on the day of counting of votes (26-03-2019) for offices / Institutions where polling and counting centres are established for the ongoing biennial Elections to A.P. Legislative Council from Graduates, Teachers and Local authorities' Constituencies. On local holidays the Treasuries, sub-treasuries and all other offices / Institutions in the District will however function as usual.
  2. Therefore all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers are requested to grant Special Casual Leave to the Teachers / Employees, who are bonafide voters in the Elections to above said Graduate / Teachers Constituencies of State Legislative Council, A.P., to enable them to exercise their right of franchise.
  3. In case of the Offices / Institutions, where polling and counting centres are established for the ongoing biennial Elections, the concerned District Collectors & District Election Officers' instructions should be followed without any deviation.
