The Recruitment Division of Department of Posts has released the Notification for Recruitment of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants in Postal Dept for 2013-14. Applications are invited form the eligible persons for filling the vacancies of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants/Postal Assistants (Savings Bank Control Organization)/Postal Assistants (Foreign Post Organization)/Postal Assistants (Returned Letter Offices)/Postal Assistants (Mail Motor Services) And Postal Assistants (Circle And Regional Offices) for the year 2013 - 2014 in 22 Postal Circles in the Country.

Details of the Recruitment is as follows:
Vacancies of Postal Asst/Sorting Asst Recruitment:
In AP there are Total 364 Vacancies in PAPO Wing, 103 Vacancies in SARMS (RMS Sorting Asst) Wing, 74 Vacancies in Other Categories. Hence Total Vacancies are 541.
Vacancies in Other States are as follows:

Age Limit:
Age Limit for Post Asst Recruitment is 18-27 Years as on 27th Mar 2014 for General (Unreserved) Categories. 5 Years Relaxation for SC/ST, 3 Years Relaxation for OBCs is applicable. For Other Relaxations please refer the Notification at the bottom of the post.

Educational Qualification:
  1. (a) 10+2 standard or 12th class pass from a recognized university or Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education with English as a compulsory subject (excluding vocational streams) as on Closing Date of Online Registration. 
  2. (b) The applicants should have studied in local language of the State or Union Territory of the concerned Postal Circle or in Hindi as a subject at least in Matriculation level or equivalent.

Application and Exam Fee:
Cost of Application Form Registration: - Rs. 100 for all categories of applicants who have registered.
Examination Fee: - The Examination fee prescribed for all male applicants in General and OBC categories is Rs. 400/-. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Physically Impaired/ Women are exempted from payment of Examination Fee.
