  • Attention of all the Collectors & District Election Authorities in the State is invited to the reference cited. Government vide G.O. Ms. No. 119 GA(Elecs.B) Dept dt. 25.04.2014 have directed all the leave sanctioning authorities, to grant Special Casual Leave on the next day of poll to their staff members, whose services have been utilized as Presiding Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers during the General Elections/Bye Elections to the House of People and Andhra Pradesh Legislature on production of a leave letter together with the Election Duty certificate issued by the concerned Returning Officer at reception centre for the said purpose.
  • In the reference cited above, the Government have authorized the Commissioner, PR&RD, AP to issue instructions to the concerned, to extend the provisions of Special Casual Leave which contained in the G.O. Ms. No. 119 GA(Elecs.B) Dept dt. 25.04.2014 to all the polling personnel who have to stay back for longer hours till late in night due to delay in couting on the next day of polling during elections to local bodies.
  • Therefore, all the Collectors and District Election Authorities in the State are requested to take necessary action for extending the provisions of Special Casual Leave to the polling personnel as per the instructions issued in G.O. Ms. No. 119 GA(Elecs.B) Dept dt. 25.04.2014.

  1. In the G.O 11 cited, Government have directed all the leave sanctioning authorities, to grant Special Casual Leave on the next day of poll to thcir staff members, whose services have been utilized as Presiding Officers and Assistant. Presiding Officers during the General/Bye Elections to House of People and Andhra Pradesh Legislature (both Assembly and Council Constituencies) on production of a leave letter together with the Election duty Certificate issued by the concerned Returning Officer at reception centre for the said purpose.

The Secretary, APSEC while enclosing the representation of the AP-JAC, Amaravathi has informed that the State election Commission considers that it is necessary to declare "OD' to all polling personnel who have to stay back for longer hours till late in night due to delay in counting on the next day of poll and requested the Commissioner, PR&RD and Election Authority to take necessary in the matter

The Commissioner, PR&RD vide reference 3rd cited has enclosed letter received from the Secretary, APSEC and requested the Government for issue of suitable orders on the proposal to declare next day of polling duty/counting as compensatory holiday to the employees who have attended polling duty for the elections to the local bodies in view of guidelines already issued by the Government in the reference 1st cited directing all the lcave sanctioning authorities, to grant Special Casual Leave on the next day of poll to their staff members, whose services have been utilized as Presiding Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers during the General/Bye Elections to House of People and Andhra Pradesh Legislature (both Assembly and Council Constituencies) on production of a leave letter together with the Election duty Certificate issued by the concerned Returning Officer at reception centre for the said purpose. 
  4. 4. Government have examine the matter and hereby authorize the Commissioner, PR&RD., A.P., Guntur to issue instructions to the concerned, to extend the provisions of Special Casual Leave which contained in G.O. 1st cited to all the polling personnel who have to stay back for longer hours till late in night due to delay in counting on the next day of polling during the elections to local bodies.
