This Special TET is meant exclusively for in-service (Regular and Minimum Time Scale appointed) teachers working in Government, Local Body, APREIS, Government Welfare Residential Societies, AP Model Schools, and Private Aided institutions. 1. Steps to be Followed in Submission of Application Online
i. Candidates shall first download the 'Information Bulletin' from the APTET website http://cse.ap.gov.in/, go through it carefully, and satisfy their eligibility for the Special TET for In-Service Teachers – August 2026.
ii. After confirming eligibility, the candidate must register with basic details at APONLINE/e-Seva and receive a 'Journal Number'. Using this Journal Number, the application must be submitted online from 25.08.2026 to 24.09.2026. After submission, the fee of Rs.1000/- per subject must be paid via the Payment Gateway within the same window. Receiving a Journal Number does not mean the application is complete — only candidates who successfully pay the fee and finally submit the application within the stipulated dates are considered as having applied.
iii. Candidates must follow the procedure given in the Information Bulletin and online instructions while filling the form. A photograph of size 3.5cm x 3.5cm is required.
a) Paste the photograph on white paper and sign below it in Black Ink only, keeping the signature within the box. Scan only the photo+signature area (not the full page), save as JPEG, and keep the file size under 50KB. Adjust scanner DPI/color settings if needed.
b) Applications with no photo, unclear photo, or wrongly sized photo will be rejected and no Hall Ticket will be issued. Verify the photo after upload; use 'BACK' to re-scan if needed.
c) Complaints about photograph–candidate mismatch will not be entertained after submission, under any circumstances.

3. Eligibility for Special TET 2026 for In-Service
In-service (Regular and Minimum Time Scale appointed) Teachers, at the time of applying, must possess the minimum qualifications prescribed for Paper-I (Classes I to V, Regular Schools) and Paper-II (Classes VI to VIII, Regular Schools) as detailed below.
4. Qualifications for Special TET 2026 for In-Service
- All in-service (Regular and MTS-appointed) teachers working in Government / Local Body / APREIS / Government Welfare Societies Residential / AP Model Schools / Private Aided / other Government departments are permitted to appear for Special APTET – August 2026.
- Passing Special APTET – August 2026 is considered qualifying only for fulfilment of the mandatory condition for continuing in the present post or promotion, as per the Hon'ble Supreme Court's orders in Civil Appeal No.1385/5025 and related appeals dated 01.09.2025.
- This pass cannot be used for any future direct recruitment — candidates must appear for the regular APTET/CTET for that purpose.
- Secondary Grade Teachers and LFL Head Masters (Government and Local Body Schools) with both D.El.Ed and B.Ed qualifications may appear for Paper-I.
- School Assistants, TGTs, Language Pandits, and Head Masters of High Schools may appear for Paper-II.
- School Assistants working as PS HMs shall appear for Paper-II in their concerned subject.
5. Structure and Content of the Special TET 2026 for In-Service
All questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), one mark each, with four alternatives and a single correct answer. There is no negative marking. There are two papers — Paper-I for Classes I to V and Paper-II for Classes VI to VIII. SGT candidates holding both D.El.Ed and B.Ed qualifications are eligible for both papers.

I. Child Development and Pedagogy (CDP) items focus on Nature and Scope of Educational Psychology, Growth and Development of the child, Theories of Personality, Individual Differences, Learning, Assessment analysis, Mental Health, Guidance and Counselling — based on the D.El.Ed curriculum of Andhra Pradesh.
II. Language-I options: Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Odiya. Candidates must have studied the chosen language as medium of study, First Language up to Class X, Second Language in Intermediate, or as a subject with methodology at Graduation/D.El.Ed level.
III–IV. English is compulsory as Language-II; English cannot be chosen as Language-I.
V. Language-I and Language-II syllabi test proficiency, elements of language, and communication/comprehension abilities — 24 MCQs on content and 6 MCQs on pedagogy each.
VI. Mathematics and Environmental Studies are based on topics from Classes III to VIII, with difficulty linked up to Class X — each with 24 content MCQs and 6 pedagogy MCQs.
VII. Detailed syllabus is prepared by SCERT and issued with the Notification. Candidates should follow 2025–26 State Syllabus Textbooks (Classes III–X), 2014–2025 Telugu Academy D.Ed/D.El.Ed textbooks, and 2019 SCERT D.El.Ed textbooks. Questions test critical, creative, and analytical thinking.

vi–vii. Language-I and Language-II syllabi are based on proficiency, elements of language, and communication/comprehension abilities, standardized up to Senior Secondary (Intermediate/Class XII) level — 30 content-only MCQs each.
viii. Paper-II syllabus is based on Classes VI to X topics, with difficulty linked up to Intermediate (Class XII) level. Candidates should follow 2025–26 State Syllabus Textbooks (Classes VI–X), 2014–2025 Telugu Academy D.Ed/D.El.Ed/B.Ed textbooks, and 2019 SCERT D.El.Ed textbooks. Questions test conceptual understanding, critical, creative, and analytical thinking.
g) Syllabus: The detailed syllabus for Paper-I and Paper-II is notified on http://cse.ap.gov.in. The published syllabus is suggestive but not exhaustive.
6. Medium of Question Paper
The Question Paper shall be bilingual — English followed by the Language-I chosen by the candidate.
- For candidates choosing Sanskrit in Paper-II, CDP is in Telugu followed by Sanskrit; Language-II is compulsory English; Language-I and the rest of the paper shall be in Sanskrit.
- There is no Hindi/Sanskrit medium option for Non-Language subjects.

- Differently abled candidates (Visually, Orthopedically, Hearing Impaired, Autism) with at least 40% disability are considered disabled, except for Hearing Impairment, which has separate DB-loss thresholds as per G.O.MS.No.36 dated 23.08.2023.
- The Certificate will contain the candidate's Name, Address, Registration No., Year/Month of Award, Marks per Paper, Class level validity, and Subject Area — electronically generated with security features.
- The Joint Director, TET and Member Convener, AP shall issue the Memo/Pass Certificate digitally; certificates will also be available on Digi Locker after results are published.
8. Certificate Validity Period / Marks Memo
The Marks Memo/Certificate will be made available only on the APTET website. There is no restriction on the number of attempts. The APTET certificate is valid for lifetime, in accordance with NCTE guidelines dated 09.06.2021 as amended by G.O.Ms.No.69 dated 25.10.2021.
9. Procedure for Applying Online for Special TET 2026 for In-Service
- Register with basic details at APONLINE/e-Seva to receive a Journal Number, then submit the application online from 25.08.2026 to 24.09.2026 and pay the fee of Rs.1000/- per subject via the Payment Gateway within the same window.
- Follow the procedure in the Information Bulletin and online instructions. Keep a photograph of size 3.5cm x 3.5cm ready before starting.
- Paste the photograph on white paper, sign below in Black Ink within the box, scan the photo+signature area only, save as JPEG under 50KB.
- Applications with missing/unclear/wrong-size photos will be rejected — no Hall Ticket will be issued.

iv) Initial Steps Before Filling the Online Application
- Go to http://cse.ap.gov.in
- Click on "Apply Online" / "Application Link" on the homepage.
- Click the new register dialogue box.
- Provide basic details — Name, Father's/Mother's Name, DOB, Aadhaar number, email ID, mobile number, gender, category, address, etc.
- Attach the latest photograph and signature via the Browse button.
- Press Upload, tick the declaration, and enter the verification code.
- Confirm the next dialogue box and create login credentials (User ID/Password).
- Enter the Journal Number, log in, and fill in educational qualifications.
- Press PREVIEW to check all submitted details.
- Choose the paper(s) being applied for.
- Fill the form per the User Guide and Information Bulletin instructions.
- Press SUBMIT if correct, or EDIT to resubmit.
- Pay the required application fee and complete the application.
- Take a printout of the completed application for future use — do not post it to the APTET office.

10. Fee Particulars for Special TET 2026 for In-Service
The fee for online submission and conduct of the Computer Based TET exam is Rs.1000/- per paper. Candidates wishing to appear for both papers must pay Rs.1000/- for each paper separately. Fee payment and application submission windows: 25.08.2026 to 24.09.2026.
11. Process for Conduct of Computer Based Test (CBT)
To ensure transparency and accuracy, APTET will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT), covering registration, application processing, test centre identification and management, hall ticket generation, mock test awareness, secure question paper transfer, test conduct, score processing, and score card generation.
(a) Process Involved in CBT
- A designated agency will design, develop, and host the secured web-based application form and accept applications.
- Payment Gateway integration for online fee payment.
- Test Centres identified by the agency must meet rigorous compliance and security/sanitization requirements.
- Standard test centres used for exams like IIT JEE Main, GATE, CAT, RRB, IBPS shall be utilized.
- CBT will be conducted in all districts; candidates will appear in their preferred/adjacent district or adjacent district of a neighbouring State, as far as possible.
- The Commissioner/Director of School Education will issue detailed instructions for proper conduct.
- Candidates found copying or engaging in malpractice will be expelled and debarred from three consecutive exams, besides action under the AP Public Examination (Prevention of Malpractices and Unfair Means) Act, 1997.
- Negligent staff will face disciplinary action with entries in their Service Register, besides action under the same Act.
- The CBT will be conducted in English followed by the medium opted by the candidate.
- One Gazetted Officer (MEO/Gazetted Head Master/Deputy DEO) may be drafted as Departmental Officer to assist technical staff at test centres.
(b) Constitution of Examination Centres
- Identification and confirmation of Examination centres is the sole responsibility of the agency conducting APTET as CBT.
- Each centre must have good accommodation, furniture, and computer infrastructure, with capacity for 300–500 candidates per session.
- Centres will be preferably identified in District Headquarters, Municipalities, Revenue divisions, and Mandals.
- Centres may be identified in adjacent districts of neighbouring States, where required based on applicant numbers.
- Institutions with spacious rooms and computer infrastructure will be personally inspected by the District Educational Officer before being constituted as centres.
12. Normalization
A standard normalization technique will be applied for candidates appearing in different shifts, accounting for the average marks of the top 0.1% of candidates and the mean/standard deviation of marks across shifts. Calculations will be carried out up to 5 decimal places to ensure fairness across shifts.
13. Hall Tickets
Hall Tickets can be downloaded from http://cse.ap.gov.in from 05.10.2026 onwards. If unable to download, candidates should contact the Office of the Director/Commissioner of School Education, Mangalagiri, Amaravati between 10:00 AM and 5:30 PM on working days, with the Journal Number, fee payment reference, application printout, and one photograph. Duplicate Hall Tickets will not be issued after the examination.

- The Subject Expert Committee constituted by SCERT is the final authority on objections to the initial key.
