Rc.840 ICT Computer Labs in High Schools to be maintained by Teachers

Rc.840/VE-1/2008 ICT@Schools Computer Education Programme – The ICT Computer Labs to be maintained by Teachers of the Schools. || Training to High School Teachers on ICT@Schools.          
   As we are aware that Computer Education Programme is being implemented in 5000 and 1300 High Schools in the State under ICT@Schools Scheme and the CEP Contract given to agencies is going to be ended by Sep 2013.
Hence The Director of School Education has instructed the following Instructions to DEOs:
1. Instructions may be issued to all the Head Masters of the High Schools where the ICT@5000 Schools Computer Education Programme is being implemented
  • a. To allot all the teachers (including HM) to undergo the computer training programme given by the contractor/agency in the school premises as the ICT@5000 Schools CEP is going to be ended by September 2013 and the Computer Lab is to be maintained by the Teachers for teaching the Computer Education Lessons and Academic subjects also to the students.
  • b. To identify one teacher who is trained and well aware of Computer Education as incharge of the Computer Lab and inform the Name of the Teacher along with Contact Number to this office by 31-03-2013.
  • c. To see that all the computers, printer, generator, UPS and furniture are in good working condition and the electricity and internet bills are paid by the agency without any dues as the Computer Lab will be handed over by the Agency to the concerned Head Master after completion of ICT@5000 Schools CEP.
2. To issue necessary instructions to the under officials in the District i.e., Dy.E.O.s, MEOs and Head Masters,
  • a. Not to use the computer lab for any kind of data entry requirements and computers shall not be moved out of the lab at any cost as legally the computers do not belong to Government as on today. They are solely owned by the agencies as of now.
  • b. To ensure that the faculty recruited by the agencies under the ICT@ School projects will be used only for the purpose of imparting ICT education in the schools as per the agreement norms, and not to use them for any other additional work in terms of teaching or non teaching modes entrusted by the school authorities.
        Therefore, all the District Educational Officers are requested to take the above steps without fail for effective implementation of the Computer Education Programme in their Districts.
         Further, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education concerned are requested to monitor and review the scheme once in three months and to see that the above instructions are complied with by all the DEOs under their control.
             The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the reference read above and they are requested to submit the list of identified teacher who is trained and well aware of Computer Education as incharge of the Computer Lab under ICT @ 5000 Schools CEP. But no report is received in this office.
Hence, they are once again requested to submit the report on or before 08.08.2013 in hard copy and through email i.e., dse.moce@gmail.com as the ICT@5000 Schools Computer Education Programme is to be ended by September 2013.
