       The Director of School Education has issued instructions vide Rc.550 regarding AP Model School Admissions and Guidelines and are follows:
AP MODEL SCHOOLS ONLINE APPLY LAST DATE EXTENDED UPTO 14th JUNE 2013
             All the District Educational Officers in the State (except West Godavari and Hyderabad Districts) are here by informed that Model Schools will be operationalized during 2013-14 with classes VI, VII, VIII and 1st year Intermediate (M.P.C, Bi.P.C, M.E.C and C.E.C). Each class will be having a sanctioned strength of 80 students. For intermediate each group will be having 20 students. These institutions are co-educational and follow state syllabi with TELUGU as 1st language up to class X and as 2nd language in Intermediate course.
AP MODEL SCHOOLS ADMISSIONS GUIDELINES AND COMPLETE INFORMATION
Govt of Andhra Pradesh has released the GO.17 on 11th Feb 2013 and has cleared the AP Model School Admission Guidelines and Rules of Reservation, Admission process and as follows:
       The Model Schools Scheme is meant for catering to the needs of Educationally Backward Mandals to provide quality education on Kendriya Vidyalaya template. The Government of India have sanctioned 355 Model Schools to Andhra Pradesh to be established in Educationally Backward Mandals. During the first year of establishment of Model Schools, classes VI to VIII and Junior Intermediate with M.P.C/ Bi.P.C/C.E.C/M.E.C groups will be opened in English Medium with co- education. Hence, all the students who domicile from the Mandal or studied in the particular Mandal in any recognized institution may become exclusively eligible for admission into the Model Schools which are going to be operationalized from the academic year 2013-14.
          The MEOs may be instructed to issue the application form free of cost from 24.05.0213 onwards and receive filled in applications up to 5.00 PM of 05.06.2013. All the received applications are to be registered invariably day wise, reservation category wise and class wise.
      As the Model Schools are going to be functional on KV template to provide quality education free of cost in English Medium in the Educationally Backward Mandals of the State, wide publicity both in print and electronic media may kindly be provided to disseminate information to the nook and corner of all the mandals and reach all the eligible and interested students.
How to Apply:
The Candidate has to apply with the Filled in application form and required documents to their own respected mandal MEO's for which he/ she belongs.
Selection Process:
1. Selection process through Drawal of lots for admission into 6th, 7th and 8th classes.
2. Selection process based on SSC Grades for admission into Inter 1st year.
       The selection of the students will be made through a committee formed under the chairmanship of Additional Joint Collector of the district and coprised of DEO, RIO, RMSA and one principal of Residential or social welfare school.
