AP SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL SERVICE RULES 

under Section 5 and 12 of ORDINANCE 12 OF 2005  G.O.Ms.No.95. Dated:25/7/2005 

      In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections-5 and 12 of the Andhra Pradesh School Education Teachers and other employees (Abolition of existing service cadres and regulation of recruitment and conditions of service) ordinance 2005 and in supersession of the Andhra Pradesh Education Service Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.505 Education (Ser.I) Department Dt.16-11-1998, in so far as they relate to the posts included in this service, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following special rules for the Andhra Pradesh School Educational Service.

RULES

1.Short title and Commencement:
(1) These rules may be called the Andhra Pradesh School Educational Service Rules.
(2) They shall come into force with immediate effect.

2.Constitution:
The Service shall consists of the following classes and categories of posts.

	2	Assistant Director
	3	Lecturer, State Council of Educational Research and Training  (SCERT)
	4	Lecturer Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) / College of Teacher Education  (CTE)
	5	Senior Lecturer, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET)
	6	Special Officer (English / Hindi/ Urdu / Oriental Studies)
	7	Statistical Officer
	8	Lecturer in Physical Education, Government College of Physical Education (G.C.P.E.)/ Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (I.A.S.E.)/College of Teacher Education (C.T.E)/ Inspector of Physical Education, and Lecturer in Games and Sports in Govt. College of Physical Education.
	9	Lecturer in Library Science, Institute of Advanced Studies in Education  (IASE)/ College of Teacher Education (CTE)
II	1	Gazetted Headmaster Grade II/Gazetted Headmistress Grade-II and Mandal Education Officer.
	2	Lecturer, District Institute of Education and Training (D.I.E.T.)
	3	Lecturer in Physical Education, District Institute of Education and Training  (DIET) and Regional Inspector of Physical Education;
	4	Lecturer in Art Education, District Institute of Education and Training       (DIET)

3. Method of Appointment and Appointing Authority:

The method of appointment, and appointing authority for different categories of posts of service shall be as follows:

		6	Special Officer (English, Hindi, Urdu, Oriental studies)	By Transfer from categories 1,3,4 and 5 of Class I	Director of School Education

		8	Lecturer in Physical Education Government College of Physical Education (GCPE)/ Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE)/ College of Teacher Education (CTE)/ and Inspector of Physical Education and Lecturer in Games and Sports in Government College of Physical Education	By Promotion from category 3 of class II	Director of School Education
		9	Lecturer in Library Science Institute of Advanced Studies in Education, (IASE)/ College of Teacher Education (CTE)	(i) Recruitment by transfer from Librarians in SCERT (ii) If not available by direct recruitment	Director of School Education
