DTA issued orders that,if any Files are pending regarding Contributory Pension Scheme for more than 30bdays then 10 Lakh rupees fine will be imposed. If the CPS grievance is not resolved within the stipulated time frame, the Ombudsman has the power to give directions; or orders as considered appropriate including compensation and interest up to sum of Rupees Ten Lakhs (Rs.10 Lakhs) as per the provision of regulation No.25 of the PFRDA (Redressal of Subscriber Grievance) Regulations. 2015.

Sub:- NATIONAL PENSION SYSTEM — Contributor/ Pension Scheme — Grievances pending — Resolution of grievances under Central Grievance Management System (CGMS) — Regarding.
  1. All the Deputy Directors of District Treasuries in the State are informed that, PFRDA (Redressal of Subscriber Grievance) Regulations, 2015, laid down clear guidelines with respect to redressal of subscriber grievances. As per the provision of regulation flo.6 of the PFRDA (Redressal of Subscriber Grievance) Regulations, 2015, every grin-caner should be disposed-off within a period of thirty (30) days of its receipt and a final reply should be furnished to the subscriber (complainant) with the details of resolution. 
  2. If the subscriber is not satisfied with the redressal of his grievances (or) if the grievance has not been resolved by the entity within the stipulated time, he / she can escalate the same to the NPS Trust and further to the Ombudsman by the subscriber as per the provision of regulartion.10 of the PFRDA (Redressal of Subscriber Grievance) Regulations, 2015. If the grievance is not resolved within the stipulated time frame, the Ombudsman has the power to give directions; or orders as considered appropriate including compensation and interest up to sum of Rupees Ten Lakhs (Rs.10 Lakhs) as per the provision of regulation No.25 of the PFRDA (Redressal of Subscriber Grievance) Regulations. 2015. The outstanding grievances in Central Grievance Management System are a potential source of escalation and may lead to adverse situation. So many subscriber grievances are pending disposals with Treasury Officers more than 30 days. Therefore, they are directed to advice all the treasury officers under their jurisdiction to dispose the pending grievances immediately, keeping in view of the attendant penal provisions, so as to avoid imposition of any penalty.
