Republic Day Celebrations 2021 in Schools - Instructions - Pattern of Celebration Guidelines Released

The attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers and Principals of DIETS, IASES, CTEs and DIETs in the State is invited to the reference cited and informed that, the Government has decided to celebrate the Republic Day on 26-01-2021 through the State in a befitting manner.

Further, the Government desire that special programmes including flag hoisting, flag salutation and community singing of the National Anthem and distribution of sweets to children should be arranged on that day in all Schools/Orphanages, Colleges and other Institutions in the State with emphasis on National Integration, Patriotism, Unity, Solidarity, etc.,. The following is the programme may be followed to celebrate the Republic Day on 26.01.2021 at District headquarters and at other places in Moffussil. Following is the programme at all other places in the Districts other than the Head Quarters: 

MORNING:
  • a. March-Past by School Children through streets, singing National and Patriotic Songs (It should be ensured that the children taking part in the procession are not put to undue strain). 
  • b. Flag hoisting at local schools, Panchayat Offices, Mandal Offices or at any other Central Place, singing of National Anthem and National Songs.
Therefore, the under mentioned officers are requested to issue necessary instructions to all Headmasters / Head of the Educational Institutions to hoist the National Flag at the respective Institutions and explain the significance of the Republic Day on 26-1-2021 and to conduct special programmes as desired by the Government. The expenditure may be met from their regular budget allocated for the current financial year.
These instructions should be followed scrupulously duly following the guidelines for containment, control and prevention of COVID-19 issued by the Government from time to time.
