Buy Govt Text Books Online -Cost of Text Books -Guidelines for Sale of Text Books for 2022-23

Sub:- School Education – Sale Textbooks for the academic year 2022-23 certain instructions and guidelines/ Plan of action to all the Regional Joint Directors and District Educational Officers in the State for distribution of Sale Textbooks and Workbooks under Sale Component – Orders - Issued – Reg.

ORDER:
Government has accorded permission vide reference read above to the Director, A.P. Government Text Book Press towards print and supply of sale component books to the students studying in private unaided schools, recognized by the State Government for the academic year 2022-23 and also directed to distribute sale textbooks to the schools.

Based on the above orders Director Text Books has initiated printing of textbooks for school going children from class I to X and making them ready for supply before the commencement of the academic year. For identification of textbooks under sale component alphabet (S) is being printed on the title cover of books .

Further, as per the child info 2021-22, there are (24,44,942) students are studying in private schools with state syllabus. As per the data available a provision was enabled in their respective logins for obtaining the requirement of text books. Accordingly, the private un- aided schools have submitted their requirement for 18,02,879 students across the state as on 01.04.2022.

To cater the requirement for 18,02,879 students around 1.83 crore books are being printed and will be supplied to mandal points towards distribution of text books for private schools.

Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education /District Educational Officers in the state are requested to monitor/track the supply of sale component textbooks through online till the books reaches the schools properly. The process is as follows:

Procedure for Buying Govt Text Books Online  

  • a. A separate service will be provided in the school login with the module name SALE BOOKS
  • b. By clicking the Sale book module the data of the students with number of required textbook will be displayed as per the indent submitted by the private schools, along with the price for each student @set of books consolidating to the class by displaying the amount to be paid by the management.
  • c. The management need to pay the displayed amount through payment gateway in the same screen.
  • d. Acknowledgement will be generated after successful payment, same can be downloadable/printable to the extent of amount paid towards number of books proposed to be supplied with an unique number.
  • e. Management shall approach to the concerned Mandal Educational Officer along with copy of the receipt of payment done in Online.
  • f. The MEO shall verify the payment status in his/her login and issue the books as per the availability stock and generate delivery challan through to the extent of books supplied.
  • g. Partial set of books shall also be given, in case of shortage and a receipt on the pending books will be issued towards collecting them later.
  • h. Detailed tracking reports will be provided to view the status of the transactions at every level starting from the Printer to last mile point.

Guidelines to be followed in distribution of Textbooks under Sale Component during the academic year 2022-23

  • 1. The District Educational Officer shall appoint Mandal Educational Officer as nodal officer for receipt and distribution of sale component textbooks as defined above.
  • 2. The Mandal Educational Officer shall provide Godown facility either at MRC centres or at any other pakka building, which is free from rodents and termites. They also shall take necessary preventive measures to avoid damage of text books from all kinds of natural calamities and other unforeseen incidents.
  • 3. Printers will dispatch the sale component printed Text Books to the DTMs Godowns and the DTM will send sale component text books to the Mandal point through APSRTC as per the indent provided in online.
  • 4. The APSRTC will deliver textbooks to the Nodal Officer . The nodal Officer after confirming the receipt of books has to give acknowledgment to the Books carrier.
  • 5. After receipt of the Sale Books Mandal Educational Officer shall confirm the quantity of receipt of books at his login in CSE website.
  • 6. Distribution of the Sale Component text books to be done on production of acknowledgement/receipts produced by the school Management to the extent of number of books displayed in receipt, and the same shall be updated at his/her login for tracking of disbursement of books.
  • 7. The Manager, District Textbooks (DTM) shall maintain reserve books in the district textbooks godown to meet urgent additional requirements, if any. He shall also coordinate with the Mandal Educational Officers to avoid excess/short supply of books and to manage from nearby Mandals. / District godown.
Therefore, the Director of Textbooks press, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education & District Educational Officers in the State are directed to follow the above instructions scrupulously and ensure smooth distribution of sale textbooks to the schools under private management without any deviation.
