AP NMMS 2023 Notification: Rc.No.03/E/2023 Dated: 10-08-2023 The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination 2023 will be conducted on 03-12-2023 in the state. The Examination will be conducted in Telugu, Urdu and English medium at all Revenue Divisional Head Quarters of 26 Districts in the State.

(ii) A candidate who is studying in Government, Local Body (ZP/Municipal), Government Aided, AP Model (day scholars only) and MPUP (Running 8th class) schools only.
(iii) Whose parental annual income (both Parents put together) is below Rs.3,50,000/- from all sources for which candidates have to produce latest original/attested Annual Income Certificate issued by the MRO, in case of Private employee, certificate issued by the employer in case of Government employee.
(iv) Candidate has to submit the original/attested caste certificate and also Income certificate (issued by the MRO) to the Headmaster.
Under this NMMS Scholarship scheme, 100,000 scholarships are awarded to the gifted or meritorious students whose parental income is not more than Rs. 1,50,000/- per annum from all sources. Each State /UT have fixed quota of scholarship as given at Annexure of concerned age group of class VII and VIII. The scheme would provide reservation to different categories of students as per the State/UT norms;

Mental Ability Test may consist of 90 multiple-choice questions testing verbal and non-verbal meta-cognitive abilities like reasoning and critical thinking. The questions in the test may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figure etc.
Scholastic Aptitude Test may consist of 90 multiple-choice questions covering subjects namely, science, social studies and mathematics as taught in classes VII and VIII
Duration of the AP NMMS Scholarship Exam Test
Each test will be of 90 minutes duration. Children with disability will be given extra time, as applicable.

NMMS 2023 Scholarship Overview
The Central Sector Scheme ‘National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme’ was launched in 2008, after getting approval from CCEA, with the objective to award scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at class VIII and encourage them to continue their education at secondary stage. One lakh fresh scholarships are awarded to selected students of class IX every year and their continuation / renewal in classes X to XII for study in State Government, Government-aided and Local body schools under the scheme. AP NMMS Scholarship 2023 Eligibility
(i) A candidate who scored at least 55% of marks in case of OC/BC and 50% of marks in case of SC/ST or equivalent grade i.e., B+ for all categories in class VII Examination studied during the year 2022-23.(ii) A candidate who is studying in Government, Local Body (ZP/Municipal), Government Aided, AP Model (day scholars only) and MPUP (Running 8th class) schools only.

AP NMMS 2023 Scholarship Notification
AP NMMS 2023 Notification, Apply Online AP NMMS Exam 2023 Notification It is hereby notified that the State Level National Means-cum Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination for class VIII for the academic year 2023-24 will be conducted and the examination date will be announced later. The Examination conducted in Telugu, Urdu and English medium at all Revenue Divisional Head Quarters of 26 Districts in the State.
As per the guidelines of Ministry of Education, New Delhi, the Government Andhra Pradesh State is Conducting National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination for the students those who are studying VIII Class in Government, ZP, Municipal, Aided Schools and Model Schools (without residential facility). For this year the annual parental income is enhanced from Rs.1,50,000/- to Rs.3,50,000/-.
In this connection, I wish to bring to your notice that there is a decline in the number of students taking the said examination from your district. The scheme is meant for the students of below poverty. A total of 4087 scholarships were allotted to the state and based on the child population and enrolment of the students for class VII and VIII, these scholarships will be distributed district wise and redistributed category wise according to the state Government norms.
In view of the above I request you to kindly issue instructions to all Head Masters concerned to bring awareness among the students to ensure more registrations for National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination from Government High Schools, ZP High Schools, Municipal High Schools, Model Schools (without residential facility) and Aided High Schools and give wide publicity through Print, Electronic and Social Media in your District.
The applications will be received through online procedure only.

Scheme of NMMS 2023 Scholarship Exam - Pattern
Here in this section, we will discuss about the AP NMMS Scholarship Exam Structure, Exam Pattern and How to score good marks.
- These scholarships will be provided on yearly basis to the students studying as regular students in class IX in a Government, Government-aided and local body schools which will be renewed for classes X, XI and XII. Thus the scholarships will be for a maximum period of four years.
- The amount of scholarship will be Rs. 12000/- per annum @ Rs. 1000 per month.
- A separate examination shall be conducted by the State Governments/UT Administrations for selection of students for the award of the National Means cum-Merit Scholarships in the States/UTs.
Each State/UT will conduct its own test for selection of students for the award of the Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The State Level Examination may consist of the following two tests.
