Note: From Class 6th to 9th only lessons were deleted and other language activities must be done.

General Guidelines followed in rationalizing the syllabus

• Teachers' opinions are considered for assessing the difficulty level of the language. Factors considered in the reduction of syllabus:

1. Lesson length and time required
2. Overlapping content in the same class or different classes
3. Accessibility of content for self-learning or peer learning
4. Relevance of content in the current context

• Content of a difficulty level that can be easily understood by students, requiring minimal teacher involvement, and suitable for independent learning through self-study or collaboration with peers.

• In numerous instances, one or two units were omitted from several classes due to the necessity of syllabus reduction.

• The units that have been removed, along with their corresponding page numbers, are clearly documented in the tables provided for each class.

SCERT discussed with seniors teachers and textbook writers regarding the syllabus reduction

• As the decision has been taken in mid September, the syllabus prescribed after September is focussed upon for deletion
