For Intermediate Education :
Out of 26 Districts, from each District 36 awardees will be selected covering all managements both in Government / Private Junior Colleges in the state from MPC, BIPC, HEC, CEC/MEC and Vocational streams and in each stream consisting of SC, ST, Minority, BC, OC & CWsN categories for felicitation with Medal, Certificate and Cash Award @ Rs.20,000/ each.
SELECTION OF STUDENTS IN CASE OF EQUAL MARKS: -
In case where multiple students have secured the same marks and percentage as specified above, all such candidates shall be considered for the awards in their respective categories.
vi. CEILING LIMIT: -
The students shall be selected for Shining Stars Award irrespective of the income ceiling limit as prescribed in G.O.Ms.No.12, Higher Education (EC.I) Dept, Dated: 01.02.2005
vii. LIMIT TO OTHER WELFARE SCHOLARSHIPS: -
The receipt of the award amount need not be linked to other welfare scholarship amounts received by the candidate by virtue of their other Social/physical disadvantages, as the main objective of the scheme is to recognize the merit and to encourage continuity in their education.
viii. FELICITATION TO THE AWARDEES: -
All the selected candidates shall be felicitated under Shining Stars Award program with
(a) Cash award of Rs.20,000/-
(b) Appreciation Certificate.
(c) Medal.
ix. DATE: -
The Shining Stars Award Programme shall be conducted by the District Collector under the chairmanship of the District In charge Minister every year in the District Headquarters.
The Shining Stars Award Programme for the Academic Year 2024-25 will be conducted on 09-06-2025 and as per the instructions of the Government from time to time for every year.
x. Expenditure : -
Entire Expenditure for this Awards Programme shall be met from the funds of Board of Intermediate Education.
4. The Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education shall release the required funds for this Awards Programme to the concerned District Collector.
5. The Director of School Education, A.P., Mangalagiri and the Director of Intermediate Education, Tadepalli shall take further necessary action in the matter accordingly.

In the references 3rd and 4th read above, the Director of School Education and the Director Intermediate Education have submitted proposals to the Government for issuing revised orders for conducting awards Programme at District Level for the academic year 2024-25.
2. Government, after careful examination of the matter, duly considering the proposals of the Director of School Education, A.P., Amaravati, and the Director of Intermediate Education, and in supersession of the orders issued in the references 1st and 2nd read above, has introduced the scheme of "Shining Stars Award." to promote quality and excellence in education.

The meritorious students who have secured the highest marks in SSC public examinations from the Schools and who have secured highest marks in each group of MPC, BiPC, HEC & CEC/MEC in Intermediate public examination covering all Managements both Government and Private will be awarded a merit certificate, a medal, and a cash award as a token of appreciation and as an incentive for their Higher Education.

Those students who secured 500 marks out of 600 marks and above, i.e., equivalent to the percentage of 83.33% and above in OC, BC, SC, ST & Minority shall be considered for selection in a particular Mandal in the SSC Public Examinations of the preceding academic year covering all managements both in Government and Private.
In CWsN Categories, who secured 70% marks and above shall be considered for selection in a particular District covering all managements both in Government and Private.
For Intermediate Education :
Those students who secured 830 and above marks in OC, BC, SC, ST & Minority shall be considered for selection in a particular District in Intermediate Public Examinations of the preceding academic year covering all managements both in Government and Private.
In CWsN Categories, who secured 700 and above marks shall be considered for selection in a particular District covering all managements both in Government and Private.

The selection list of the students shall be prepared by the Director of Government Examinations, A.P., Amaravati and Board of Intermediate Education based on the merit secured in SSC Public Examinations/ Intermediate Public Examination respectively, as per the eligibility criteria mentioned aboveIn case where multiple students have secured the same marks and percentage as specified above, all such candidates shall be considered for the awards in their respective categories.
