Before you begin the online counselling process, ensure you have the following General Documents and Special Category Certificates ready:

- SSC or Equivalent Marks Memo (Original or Internet Copy)
- Study Certificates from 10th class to 4th class
- Caste Certificate (if applicable — BC/SC/ST, not OBC)
- Minority Certificate (if applicable)
- SSC or Equivalent Transfer Certificate (T.C)
- Income Certificate issued on or after 01.01.2023 (for tuition fee reimbursement claim)

4. Certificate Verification Process (Online & Offline)
The certificate verification process is divided into four cases based on your online verification status. Understanding which case applies to you is crucial:
If your certificates are verified online through web services based on the data you furnished during POLYCET-2026 registration, and you are satisfied with all details (personal, academic, and other details), you need NOT visit any Help Line Centre. Simply pay the processing fee and proceed to exercise web options.
If your data is verified online but you wish to change or update any information, you must visit a nearby Help Line Centre (HLC) with all original certificates and two sets of Xerox copies as per the schedule in the Annexure. After HLC verification, check your eligibility status using the "Application & Payment Status" link before exercising options.
If your data is verified online but you are shown as not eligible for web options, visit the nearest HLC with original certificates and Xerox copies for manual verification. Once verified by officers, check your status again via the "Application & Payment Status" link.
Special category verification is NOT done online. Even if your other certificates are verified online, you MUST physically visit the Government Polytechnic, Vijayawada (Near Benz Circle, Krishna Dist) for special category certificate verification as per the schedule. Carry all original special category certificates with two sets of Xerox copies.

Exercising web options is the most critical phase of the counselling process. This is where you choose your preferred colleges and branches in order of priority. Follow these steps carefully:
Open https://polycet.ap.gov.in and click on "Login". Enter your APPOLYCET-2026 Hall Ticket Number, Date of Birth, and submit the Mobile OTP received on your registered number.
Before entering options, download the complete list of available colleges, branches, and districts from the website. Prepare a manual list on paper after consulting with parents, teachers, and subject experts.
Enter your preferred college-branch combinations in order of priority. Save your choices frequently after making any changes. You can modify options until the final date.
Once satisfied with your options and their priority order, you can click the "Freeze" button. Warning: Once frozen, you CANNOT modify your options further. Verify thoroughly before freezing.
A final opportunity to change web options is given on 04.07.2026. Use this wisely if you wish to rearrange priorities.
Important Instructions for Web Options:
- All messages, OTPs, and allotment details will be sent to your Registered Mobile Number. Keep it active and accessible until the admission process is complete.
- Never disclose your OTP to anyone under any circumstances.
- You can exercise options from home or an Internet Centre. Avoid using mobile phones as it may cause inconvenience.
- If using an Internet Centre, ensure you log out properly after saving options to maintain account security.
