What is OAMDC?
OAMDC (Online Admissions Management for Degree Colleges) is the online counselling system through which Andhra Pradesh conducts merit-based admissions into Under Graduate courses. Introduced as per G.O Ms. No. 34, Higher Education, dated 15.10.2020, the process was designed to promote merit, achieve excellence, curb malpractices, implement reservations, and conduct fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory admissions in the interest of the student community.
Under OAMDC, candidates register once on the Common Admissions Portal (CAP), upload certificates, exercise web options for their preferred college and course combinations, and receive seat allotment purely on the basis of merit and applicable reservation rules.

OAMDC 2026-27 covers admissions into General UG Programmes, including:

- Candidates who have resided in the state for a total of 10 years (excluding periods of study outside the state), or whose parents have resided in the state for 10 years (excluding periods of employment outside the state).
- Mere registration or qualifying in Intermediate does not by itself entitle a candidate to admission — all eligibility requirements must be fulfilled.
- Registration and exercising web options does not guarantee allotment; allotment is strictly merit- and reservation-based.
How to Apply — OAMDC Registration Process
As per G.O.Ms.No. 45, Higher Education (CE) Department, dated 16.07.2025, applications can be submitted in either of the following ways:
- Direct online submission: The applicant submits the application directly on the Common Admissions Portal (CAP), marking preferences for different Degree Colleges and programmes.
- Physical submission at college: The candidate submits an application physically at the concerned Degree College. The Principal enters this application into CAP and provides an acknowledgement. If a candidate submits both physically and online, the college/programme choices in the physical application are treated as the first preference.
AADHAAR-based authentication is compulsory for both modes of application submission.
