In continuation to the clarification issued in the reference 2nd cited, it is further clarified that, although promotions to the posts of teachers are being effected under the respective Ad-hoc Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.11 and G.O.Ms.No.12, School Education (Ser.II) Department, both dated: 23.01.2009, and the subsequent amendments issued thereto, such promotions are being effected by following the existing 70:30 ratio (70% of the vacancies earmarked for promotion) and only against sanctioned regular clear existing vacancies available in the approved cadre strength, in accordance with the rules in force.
This clarification is issued in response to the representations received from the Teachers' Associations and may be taken into consideration while examining the step-up claims of teachers with reference to the pay of teachers promoted on ad-hoc basis.
