AP Government ESR Extension 2026 – Important Dates
01-11-2026: Earlier extended date for mandatory recording of future live service events through e-SR modules/screens.
31-10-2026: Earlier deadline for employees and departments to complete related processes in e-SRs.
01-12-2026: Revised date for mandatory recording of future live service events through the respective e-SR modules/screens.
30-11-2026: Revised deadline for completing the related processes in e-SRs by all employees and departments.
Background of the ESR Deadline Extension
As stated in the circular memo, the Government had previously issued orders for the rollout of the enhanced e-SR application, data entry of physical Service Register details, verification, and mandatory recording of all future live service events through the respective e-SR modules/screens.
Through the circular memo dated 30-09-2026, the Government had extended the date for mandatory recording of future live service events to 01-11-2026. Employees and departments were also instructed to complete the related e-SR processes on or before 31-10-2026.
Subsequently, the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Association represented that employees continued to face various technical difficulties and practical challenges in completing the e-SR process within the prescribed timeframe. The Association requested a further extension to facilitate completion and updating of Employee Service Records.
Reasons for Further Extension of Employee Service Records
The circular memo records several difficulties being encountered by employees while uploading and updating their service particulars in the e-SR application. These include:
- Server-related problems affecting the e-SR application.
- OTP authentication failures during the verification process.
- Other technical issues in the e-SR application.
- Unavoidable personal circumstances preventing some employees from completing their e-SRs.
- Delays in obtaining copies of relevant service records, certificates, and other supporting documents.
- Engagement of certain employees in Panchayat and Municipal election-related work.
- Employees working under the allocation of the Presidential Order.
Considering these circumstances, the Government examined the matter and decided to grant a further extension for completing and updating Employee Service Records.
Instructions to All Government Employees and Departments
According to paragraph 4 of Circular Memo No. 1154688, dated 29-10-2026, the Government has issued the following instructions:
1. Mandatory recording of future service events: The date for mandatory recording of all future (live) service events through the respective e-SR modules/screens is extended to 01-12-2026.
2. Completion of e-SR processes: All employees and departments are instructed to complete the related processes in e-SRs on or before 30-11-2026.
All concerned employees and departmental authorities should take note of the revised dates and complete the necessary service record verification, data entry, uploading, and updating processes within the prescribed deadlines.

1. In the reference 1st cited, orders have been issued duly mentioning the time line for Rollout of the enhanced e-SR application, Data entry of Physical Service Register details, Verification and mandatory recording of all future (live) service events through the respective e-SR modules/screens.
2. In the reference 2nd cited, the Government has extended the date for mandatory recording of all future (live) service events through the respective e-SR modules/screens to 01-11-2026. In the reference 3rd cited, the Association has stated that although the Government has already extended the deadline and issued necessary instructions for completion of the e-SR process, employees continue to encounter various technical difficulties while uploading and updating their service particulars. These include server-related problems, OTP authentication failures, and other technical issues in the e-SR application, which are affecting the timely completion of the process. Further, some employees are unable to complete their e-SR due to unavoidable personal circumstances. In several cases, employees are required to obtain copies of relevant service records, certificates and other supporting documents. Some of the employees are engaged in with Panchayat & Municipal election process and some others are under the allocation of Presidential Order. In view of the said circumstances, it is requested to consider granting a further extension of one month, i.e., up to 30.11.2026, for completion and updation of eService Records by all employees.
4. After careful examination of the matter, the Government hereby extend the date for mandatory recording of all future (live) service events through the respective e-SR modules/screens to 01-12-2026. Further, all employees and departments are hereby instructed to complete related processes in e-SRs on or before 30-11-2026.
