No. 169/A&1/2018 Dated: 23 -04-2019 Sub: School Education - School Academic Calendar 2018-19 - To fulfil the minimum 220 working days norm by all the schools under all Managements in an academic year — Shortage of minimum working days to schools -Permission to condone -further Orders - Issued. All the District Educational Officers in the State are hereby permitted to condone the shortage of working days if any, to fulfil the minimum 220 working days to all schools under all managements during the academic year 2018-19 in their respective jurisdictions

  • In continuation to this office proceedings issued vide ref. 2nd read above, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational officers in the State are informed that, as per the Rule 42 (c) of A.P. (Integrated) Educational Rules, 1966, Minimum attendance for the year shall ordinarily be calculated at 220 school days, and the Rule 42 (e) of A.P. (Integrated) Educational Rules, 1966 envisages that, where a school has to be closed owing to certain causes, the deficiency in the minimum attendance for 220 school days prescribed can be condoned by the District Educational Officer.
  • Therefore, all the District Educational Officers in the State are hereby permitted to condone the shortage of working days if any, to fulfil the minimum 220 working days to all schools under all managements during the academic year 2018-19 in their respective jurisdictions.
