Sub: APSS- SALT Programme- Implementation of the Teach Tool Programme in the State as part of the Disbursement Linked Indicator (DLI)- utilize the services of the Cluster Resource persons (CRPS) at primary schools level in the State for the Teach Tool Purpose - Instructions and Schedule communicated -Reg.

Implementation of the Teach Tool Programme - Disbursement Linked Indicator (DLI) SALT Program

All the District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio Project Co-ordinators and all the Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the state are hereby informed that the World Bank, IBRD Group sanctioned a project entitled Supporting Andhra's Learning Transformation project to transform the government schools focusing on improving the quality of teaching and learning in Educational institutions in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The project will be implemented in close collaboration with the Department of School Education (DOSE), Samagra Shiksha, State-level institutions including the SCERT, SIEMAT and district level institutions. The focus will be to achieve the outcomes with an inherent focus on strengthening the people and processes within the public education system.

Further they are informed as per the Disbursement Linked Indicator (DLI) -2 the teaching practices will be measured according to a standardized tool. In this regard, TEACH tool, a classroom observation tool, will be used to provide individual support and mentorship to teachers at classroom level by selected teacher mentors in the system.

This tool focuses on 3 components of TEACH, to improve teacher-student interactions at a classroom level.
· Class room Instruction
· Class Room Culture and
· Socio Emotional Skills 

In order to build the capacity of the teacher mentors to support teachers, the State is planning training workshops on TEACH in collaboration with Leadership for Equity (LFE) team in a 3 level cascaded manner. 180 Master Trainers will be selected from Cluster Resource Persons (CRP)cadre to deliver and facilitate these training workshops to the selected Teacher Mentors. The Proposed training dates are as follows in the below

To facilitate the selection of 180 master Trainers from CRPS across the State, the State will conduct the rigorous selection process to evaluate pedagogical competencies and facilitation skills of the CRPS

To select the 180 master trainers from the CRPs across the State, it is decided to conduct online screening test to all the CRPs in the state on 20.05.2022 from 2.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m through the following online KOBO link to select the 180 master trainers.

Further it is informed that after the test, all the CRPs have to submit a video for 5 minutes showcasing their facilitation skills such as training delivery, and method of teaching by 22.05.2022 at 06.00 p.m. The CRPs should upload their videos in the below link by using the login credentials.
Therefore they are instructed to issue necessary instructions to all the CRPs in their respective districts to undergo the test on: 20.05.2022 from 2.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m and to upload a video for 5 minutes showcasing their facilitation skills such as training delivery, and method of teaching by 22.05.2022 at 11.30 p.m.

Guidelines for conducting the online Assessment test for the Selection of 180 CRPs.

1. An online screening test will be conducted to all the Cluster Resource Persons in the State on 20.05.2022 from 2.00 p.mto 4.00p.m
2. The following online KOBO link will be active for two hours on the day of the assessment and the online test will be one hour duration.

3. The first part of the KOBO link will request candidates to fill in personal details such as Name, Phone number, CFMS ID, District, Mandal and Complex etc.
 
4.In the next part of the link, the actual test begins. The test consists of multiple choice questions spread across 4 sections, which are
  • a. English 
  • b. Teaching Methodology 
  • c. Classroom Environment and culture 
  • d. Socio-emotional learning
5. Depending on the instructions, the CRP will select either one option or multiple options for each question.
6. The total test will be of 40 marks. The test will be of 1 hour duration.

7.Post the test, all candidates are to submit a video showcasing their facilitation skills such as training delivery, and method of teaching. This will be for 10 marks. 2 days of preparation time will be given to prepare record and submit the video by 22.05.2022 by 6.00 PM.

8.Final list of Master Trainers 180 master will be selected based on scores of the screening test and video submission. Date: 18.05.2022
