Life Insurance Corporation of India has released the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025 Notification, inviting applications for the India's famous Scholarship Program for 2025. The LIC Offers to a massive 11,200 Students across India.
The objectives of the LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation are promoting education, health, relief of poverty or distress and advancement of other objects of general public utility.
Golden Jubilee Foundation can provide a great avenue of fulfilling our social responsibility at the corporate level and our philanthropic needs at the individual level.
Scholarship shall be provided for the entire duration of the course, excluding internship or stipendiary period, under General Scholarships and for two years under Special Girl Scholar, subject to the candidate fulfilling requisite eligibility conditions for renewal.
The Scholarship amount will be transferred to Bank Account of the selected scholar through NEFT. In case the candidate is selected for scholarship, the Bank Account details and IFSC code and copy of cancelled cheque with name of beneficiary is compulsory.
In case of merged banks, the new IFSC Code of the Bank should be mentioned. The Bank Account to which the amount to be transferred has to be active. In case it is dormant, the same should be activated before the details are provided. Maximum balance allowed under the bank account should also be checked.
After the selection process is complete, if there is shortfall in selection of candidates, the Competent Authority at LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation at its discretion may allow the Divisions having waiting list to select additional candidates from the waiting list subject to overall limit of 8960 (112x80) Regular Scholarship & 2240 (112x20) Special Scholarship for Girls. This will be based on Centralised ranking.
(xxvi) In the event of any dispute, disagreement, or claim arising out of or relating to this Scholarship Scheme, including its interpretation, implementation, or any matter concerning its term and condition, the decision of the Executive Committee of GJF shall be final and binding on all parties involved.
To process their application, the candidates must provide LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation with irrevocable authorisation to use the data they have submitted, including their PAN and E Aadhar Card Number.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025 Eligibility
Scholarships shall be of two types; General Scholarship and Special Scholarship for Girls.[A]. General Scholarship Golden Jubilee Foundation
a) After Class 12 (XII):- 1. All candidates who have passed Class XII exam (or its equivalent –Regular/Vocational) / Diploma with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in the Academic Year 2022-23/2023-24/2024-25, and
- 2. Have taken admission in the academic year 2025-26 for pursuing first year degree course in the field of Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS), Engineering (BE, BTECH, BArch), Graduation in any discipline,
- 3. Have parents/guardian with an annual income (from all sources) not exceeding Rs.4,50,000/- per annum.
- 1. All candidates who have passed Class X exam (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in the Academic Year 2022-23/2023-24/2024-25, and
- 2. Have taken admission in the academic year 2025-26 for pursuing first year education in the field of Vocational / Diploma Courses through Govt. recognized colleges/institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI), and
- 3. Have parents/guardian with an annual income (from all sources) not exceeding Rs.4,50,000/- per annum
[B]. Special Scholarship for Girl Child (For Two Years)
- 1. Female Candidates who have passed Class X exam (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in the Academic Year 2022-23/2023-24/2024-25, and
- 2. Have taken admission in the academic year 2025-26 for pursuing higher studies in the first year of Intermediate/10 + 2 pattern/ Vocational or Diploma Courses through Government recognized colleges/ institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for two years, and
- 3. Have parents/guardian with an annual income (from all sources) not exceeding Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum
Duration of LIC Scholarship 2025
Amount of LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025
[A]. General Scholarship
- a) An amount of Rs.40,000/- per annum, will be awarded to the selected Scholar who pursues higher education in the field of Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS) and shall be payable every year in two instalments Rs.20000/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.
- b) An amount of Rs.30,000/- per annum, will be awarded to the selected Scholar who pursues higher education in the field of Engineering (BE, BTECH, BArch) and shall be payable every year in two instalments of Rs.15000/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.
- c) An amount of Rs.20,000/- per annum will be awarded to the selected Scholars who pursues education in the field of Graduation in any discipline, Integrated Courses, Diploma Course in any field or other equivalent courses, Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges /Institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and shall be payable every year in two instalments of Rs.10000/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.
[B]. Special Scholarship for Girl Child
- An amount of Rs. 15,000/- per annum will be awarded to selected Girl Child for Special Scholarship after class 10th for pursuing higher studies in Intermediate/10 + 2 pattern/ Vocational or Diploma Courses through Government recognized colleges/ institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for two years and shall be payable every year in two instalments of Rs.7500/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.
Payment of Scholarship Amount
The above rates of Scholarship are applicable for new entrants only. Students who are already receiving scholarship from LIC GJF from the earlier years shall continue to draw scholarships at the same rate fixed at the time of their selection till the completion of their course.The Scholarship amount will be transferred to Bank Account of the selected scholar through NEFT. Eligibility Criteria for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025
- (i) This scholarship is not meant for post-graduation studies.
- (ii) Candidates are eligible for scholarship if they secured at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in the previous final examination and the their parents / guardians total annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs.4,50,000/- per annum. However, applications in the income band Re.0 – Rs.2,50,000 will be given preference in selection. In case number of candidates are not sufficient in this income band then selection will be made from applications in the income band Rs.2,50,001 – Rs.4,50,000.
- (iii) Short listing and final selection of candidates shall be done on merit based on percentage of marks obtained in class 12th /10th as applicable. Candidates who apply for ‘Regular Scholarship’ category after completing their 12th will be given priority over those who apply after completing their 10th std during the selection process.
- (iv) In the event of tie in the percentage of marks, preference will be given to students whose parents have the lower income.
- (v) In the event of tie in both criteria i.e percentage of marks and income, the selection will be determined based on the financial assessment report by official/s of LIC evaluating candidate’s financial needs and family background.
- (vi) Candidates who are already receiving Scholarship from other Trust / Institution will not be considered for LIC GJF Scholarship. This rule does not apply to candidates who are receiving Scholarships from the Government (State or Central) either at the time of selection or after being selected for Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme. However, candidates currently not receiving any other scholarship shall be given preference over those already receiving any scholarship in case of tie in marks.
- (vii) Candidates who gain lateral entry in 2nd Year Engineering Degree courses or take regular admission in the 1st Year of Engineering Degree courses after completing Diploma shall be eligible for GJF Scholarship provided they have passed Diploma with 60% or equivalent CGPA grade in the academic year 2022-23/2023- 24/2024-25.
- (viii) If a scholarship recipient changes to new academic stream after being selected, and the new stream’s duration exceeds original duration, the students will continue receiving the scholarship only for the original duration. Conversely, if the student switches to stream with shorter duration, then the scholarship will be paid for the duration of the shorter program.
- (ix) Candidates who are pursuing courses under any stream through Correspondence or Part Time (Evening or Night Classes) and/or through Open Universities are not eligible for Scholarship.
- (x) Self study courses such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost Accountant (ICMAI) etc are not eligible for Scholarship.
- (xi) If there are insufficient applicants for ‘Special Scholarship for Girl’ category, Female candidates pursuing Diploma course in any stream after Class X who had applied for ‘Regular Scholarship’ category but do not qualify for final selection may be considered for ‘Special Scholarship for Girl’ . However, scholarship tenure will be limited to TWO years & scholarship amount will be lesser as per category.
- (xii) To continue receiving General scholarship under Medical and Engineering stream, the candidate must secure at least 55% marks or the equivalent SGPA & CGPA grade in the previous annual / semester examination of the course covered by the scholarship. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the scholarship being discontinued. Additionally, the candidate shall pass all subjects in each semester to maintain the scholarship.
- (xiii) To continue receiving General Scholarship under Graduation (Arts / Science /Commerce) and other courses, the candidate must secure at least 50% marks or equivalent SGPA & CGPA grade in the previous annual / semester examination of the course covered by the scholarship. Failure to meet this requirement will result in scholarship being discontinued. Additionally, the candidate shall pass all subjects in each semester to maintain the scholarship.
- (xiv) To continue receiving scholarship under ‘Special Scholarship for Girl’ category, candidate must secure at least 50% marks and pass all subjects in 11ths td examination.
- (xv) As a rule Scholarship is awarded to only one student in a family. However, this policy may be relaxed to allow two candidates in a family if the candidate applying later is a female or both applicants are female. In case, a male and a female candidate from same family apply simultaneously, the female candidate will be given preference if there is tie in marks.
- (xvi) In order to maintain scholarship, candidate must have regular attendance of classes with criteria determined by the Competent Authority of School, College or University.
- (xvii) Candidates are required to submit Income certificate issued by competent Revenue Authorities of the state such as Tehsildar, District Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, Collector, Revenue Circle Officer, Sub Divisional Magistrate or any other District Authority authorised for this purpose.
- (xviii) Claims for Scholarship arrears will not be accepted if submitted more than 12 months after the end of academic year to which the claim pertains.
- (xix) If a student violates any terms and conditions of the scholarship, the scholarship may be suspended or cancelled.
- (xx) If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statement/certificates, his/her scholarship shall be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid shall be recovered, at the discretion of the concerned Divisional Administration of LIC.
Number of Scholarships offered under LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025 Scheme
- (xxi) The 112 Divisional Offices of LIC will each select hundred (100) students. Of those 100 students, Eighty (80) students will be awarded General Scholarship - 40 for Boys & 40 for Girls, based on merit and eligibility. However, if there is a shortfall in number of boys in selection, the shortfall may be filled by girls, and vice versa.
- (xxii) Remaining 20 scholarship will be awarded to girls under Special Scholarship for Girl Child, based on merit and eligibility.
- (xxiii) The Zone of selection is the LIC Divisional area. Competent Authority for approval of final selection of candidates for Scholarship will be the Senior Divisional Manager In – Charge of the Divisional Office.
- (xxiv) Selected candidates shall be informed by the Divisional Office through email.
- (xxv) Divisions having adequate online applications and selected full quota shall prepare a waiting list for ‘Regular Scholarship’ and ‘Special Scholarship for Girls’ separately (Waiting list will be prepared for those categories where quota is exhausted by the Divisional Office).

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Selection Process
The Step by Step Process for Selection of LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025 is as follows:
- Online application
- Application assigned to one of LIC’s 112 Divisions based on the PIN code of the applicant’s address.
- Candidates with income 0 – 2,50,000 is ranked on the basis of marks obtained, by each Division.
- Selection would be from top ranks (going down the ranks) to the extent of vacancies. A waiting list will be created by those Divisions where vacancies are fully exhausted.
- If enough candidates are not available in 0 – 2,50,000 income band then candidates from 2,50,001 – 4,50,000 income band would be separately ranked based on marks and selected to fulfill the extent of shortage.
- 20 Girls for 10+2 level scholarship
- 40* Girls for Graduation level scholarship
- 40* Boys for Graduation level scholarship
- *If sufficient Boys not there, can be filled by Girls and vice versa
- If the above process does not result in enough selections in some Divisions, vacant slots from those Divisions will be pooled centrally and allotted to the Divisions with waiting list of candidates (based on suitable process).
