As part of the Energy Conservation Week, the Andhra Pradesh State Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM), Energy Department, Govt of Andhra Pradesh is excited to announce a Short Video Competition for students in grades 8, 9, and 10. This competition aims to inspire young minds to take proactive steps in promoting Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation while raising awareness about the importance of sustainable energy practices.

We invite all eligible students to submit creative & thought-provoking videos that highlight : Energy-saving techniques, Innovative solutions for energy conservation, The role of individuals, communities, and technology in creating an energy-efficient future

పాఠశాల విద్యార్థులకు... ఇంధన పొదుపుపై షార్ట్ వీడియో పోటీలు

ఇంధన పొదుపు, ఇంధన సామర్థ్యంపై పాఠశాల స్థాయిలో విద్యార్థులకు షార్ట్ వీడియో పోటీలు నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్లు ఏపీ జెన్కో ఎండీ, ఏపీ ఎస్ఈసీఎం సీఈవో నాగలక్ష్మి తెలిపారు. రాష్ట్రంలో 8, 9, 10 తర గతుల విద్యార్థులు పోటీకి అర్హులని శనివారం ఓ ప్రకటనలో పేర్కొన్నారు.

'ఇంధన పొదుపు, ఇంధన సామర్థ్యం.. సుస్థిర ఆచరణలపై తెలుగు, ఆంగ్లం, హిందీ భాషల్లో 30 సెకన్ల నుంచి 2 నిమిషాల నిడివితో ఎంపీ4 ఫార్మాట్లో వీడియోలు రూపొందించి డిసెంబరు పదో తేదీ సాయంత్రం 5లోగా పంపాలి.

Guidelines for Short Video Competition on Energy Efficiency and Conservation (For School Children)


1. Eligibility:
  • The competition is open to all school children of 8th , 9th and 10th standard ( AP only) who can participate either individually or in groups
  • Participants shall send their nomination through respective school authorities only.

2. Theme:

The video should focus on energy conservation, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices. Participants can illustrate ways to save energy at home, school, or in the community, and promote environmentally-friendly habits. o Possible topics may include, but are not limited to:
  • ▪ Simple energy-saving techniques (practical ways to save energy in daily life)
  • ▪ How energy efficiency contributes to a sustainable future.
  • ▪ Innovative solutions for energy conservation.
  • ▪ Role of children in promoting energy-saving practices
  • ▪ The role of individuals, communities, and technology in creating an energy-efficient future.
  • ▪ Practicing Do’s and dont’s towards Energy Saving.
3. Video Specifications:
  • Duration: The video should be maximum of 2 minutes ,minimum of 30 sec in length.
  • Format: The video must be in MP4 format and should have clear, audible sound and good video quality.
  • Language: The video should be in Telugu/English/Hindi
Original Content
  • Videos must be the participant’s original work. Plagiarism or using third-party copyrighted content is not encouraged.
  • Videos submitted in previous years' short video competitions are not eligible for this year's competition.
4. Judging Criteria:

 Relevance of theme (40%): How well the video communicates the theme of energy conservation and efficiency.

Creativity and originality ( 30% ): How innovative and original the idea is. o Clarity (20%): How clearly the message is conveyed in the video. o Visual Appeal and quality of video (10%): Use of visuals, graphics, and sound to engage the viewer and quality of video

5. Submission Instructions:

  • A completed registration form, including the student name, school and contact details, must accompany the submission.
  • Participants shall send their nomination through respective school authorities only.
  • There is no limit on the number of nominations a school can submit. o Videos submitted in previous years' short video competitions are not eligible for this year's competition
6. Prizes and Recognition:

∙ Winners will receive a cash prize along with a certificate, presented by the Honorable Minister of Energy during the Valedictory Function of the National Energy Conservation Week.

∙ Prize Details:
  • o 1st Prize: ₹20,000
  • o 2nd Prize: ₹10,000
  • o 3rd Prize: ₹5,000
  • o Consolation Prizes (10 Winners): ₹2,000 each
Winning videos will be showcased on APSECM’s official social media channels and website.
School authority will receive appreciation certificate & Memento.

7. Rights and Permissions:

By submitting a video, participants agree that their content may be used by the organizing authority for educational, promotional, and awareness purposes.

8. Important Notes:
  • The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
  • Any incomplete, late, or inappropriate submissions will be disqualified. 
9. Important Dates
  • Last date for Submission of Videos : 10-12-2025 (before 5PM)
  • Winners Announcement: 15-12-2025.
Winner details will be shared with both the school authorities and students via the email addresses and contact information provided during registration.
