The primary intent of this memo is to ensure that teachers transitioning to a higher or different post do not suffer a financial loss.
A major concern for transitioning employees is whether their resignation from the old post "resets" their career clock. This memo clarifies the following:

The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the references cited,wherein proposals have been received in respect of certain teachers selected as School Assistants in Mega DSC-2025,who were already working as Secondary Grade Teachers or in other Government services ,for grant of pay protection.
2.In this regard ,it is informed that,as.por FR 22(a)(iv) ,the pay of a regular Government servant,When appointed directly to another post under the Government on selection through the competent recruiting agency ,shall be fixed in the new post at a stage not lower than the pay drawn in the earlier post ,subject to fulfilment of the prescribed conditions.
3. It is further informed that ,as per Rule 26 and Note-1 thereunder of the A.P. Revised Pension Rules,1980,resignation tendered with proper permission to take up another appointment under the Government,where service qualifies,shall not entail forfeiture of past service.Such resignation is not to be treated as resignation from public se netne ps rad the order accepting the resignation cleary indicates that it is for taking up another appointment with proper permission and that the benefits under the provision to Rule 26 are admissible.The same shall also be duly recorded in the service book under proper attestation.
4. In view of the above,all the District Educational Officers in the State are hereby requested to examine the requests of individuals selected as School Assistants in Mega DSC-2025 for grant of pay protection and take necessary action in accordance with FR 22(a)(iv),Rule 26 and Note-1 of the A.P.Revised Pension Rules, 1980 and the relevant Government Orders,subject to fulfilment of all prescribed conditions,including verification of service particulars,continuity of service,and eligibility as per the rules in force .
5 . The District Educational Officers shall ensure that pay fixation is done strictly in accordance with the rules and shall be held personally responsible for any deviation or irregular fixation .
